The AutoStore system requires a constant connection the designated Backup SQL Server Database in order to ensure redundancy of information. Without a connection the Backup SQL Server Database the AutoStore system will not run.
There are two different messages that will show in the AutoStore Console:
ASBackup disconnected - Graceful disconnect means AS Backup has disconnected because it chose to, it could happen if the AS Backup Service looses the connection with the SQL server or gets an error from SQL. A common cause for the SQL Server Database errors is that storage is full and must be cleared.
ASBackup disconnected - Socket errors will have many reasons, mainly appearing when something has interrupted the network connection between the Application Server and the Controller PC, or someone has stopped the AS Backup service. Usually, these issues should be resolved by the IT department on the system, as the responsibility of everything that happens on the App Server is on the End-Customer side.
