The AutoStore System is comprised of three primary components: The AutoStore Controller PC, the AutoStore Service PC, and the AutoStore Application Server.
These three components will each run at least one software application developed by AutoStore with specific OS requirements as outlined below.
AutoStore Controller PC:
- Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSB 2016 - Extended Support End Date of October 13, 2026
- Windows 10 IoT Enterprise 2019 LTSC - Extended Support End Date of January 9, 2029
- Customers will soon have the option to purchase an "upgrade license" to install this version on controllers currently running Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSB 2016
The updated AutoStore Controller releasing in 2025 will have support for Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021 - Extended Support End Date of January 13, 2032
AutoStore Service PC:
- Windows 10 (Minimum Windows 10 Version 1809)
- Windows 11
AutoStore Application Server:
- Windows Server 2016 - Extended Support End Date of January 12, 2027
- Windows Server 2019 - Extended Support End Date of January 9, 2029
- Windows Server 2022 - Extended Support End Date of October 14, 2031
The AutoStore System also requires a constant connection to a Database Server. AutoStore supports all SQL Server editions, including the "Express" and "Web" versions of:
- Microsoft SQL Server 2016
- Microsoft SQL Server 2017
- Microsoft SQL Server 2019
- Microsoft SQL Server 2022
These compatibilities are subject to change as new versions of the software are developed by AutoStore. Please be sure to refer back to this FAQ and review provided release notes as new software is released.
