Summary: Amway Japan, “Utility > Work Area Manager “ screen displays no data.
Conclusion Exacta Wave Management Portal view was pulling information from a static data set maintained by the SQL Server Agent Job. On occasion, this job would run into issues and would cause the screen to not load, or load incorrect and outdated information. The solution was to address the underlying performance issues with the database view so that the portal inquiry can pull from live data every time instead of reading from the staged data. Changes Made 1. Changes were made to the SQL view v_wave_summary. DB team refactored query to address identifiable performance issues. 2. Added nonclustered index to cntnr_header on columns cntnr_id and cntnr_type, including cntnr_name. 3. Added nonclustered index to cntnr_header_release on columns release_status, print_verified, and cntnr_id. 4. Removed unnecessary SQL columns to eliminating pulling excess data. Preventative actions Implement an on-site test environment. Implement Promote Procedure
